Kong Chinese Bistro

I’ve been a regular here at Kong Broadmeadows for quite some time now and the food here never disappoints! The garlic chicken and Tom Yum soup is absolutely amazing here and both have become a staple of mine. Customer service is great and they are always so friendly. The only thing to consider is how cramped it can get at times due to it being so busy. However, I would highly recommend this place to anyone I know.

A little cluttered; precision customer service & food that is so perfectly cooked and priced you wonder why everyone isn’t talking about it. So lets break it down: Atmosphere (Vibe): **** Really well presented. Small but spacious; choose your own seat. Very clean and well kept – but there were a lot of empty/full boxes piled up in the rear of the restaurant. Couldn’t really figure out why? My guess would be that this company focuses on pick-up/deliveries – but with such a really nice layout – you could easily promote a “great night out & movie” service promotion. Tip: get rid of the boxes and work with Hoyts for a dinner movie deal. Customer Service: **** Very Efficient and willing to ensure your order is processed and fulfilled as swiftly and on time as they can. The food was prepared and served amazingly fresh, hot and exactly as to the reviews of everyone here who has complemented the cooks. The only neg (and is a plus) is with efficiency come seriousness to deliver. Keep the efficiency, but add the smile. Doesn’t mean your service wasn’t excellent – it was! Just greet with warmth. 🙂 Food (why we are here): *****+ The Single Lunch/Dinner menu is great value at $15 per person – most flavours available and served with beautifully steamed white rice. Mongolian Beef & Chilli Beef: I don’t normally lump dishes together but the same applies to both dishes. The veggies were slightly soft with the perfect amount of fresh crunch (Perfect for me) and the beef (my gosh – the beef) was so tender and deliciously edible it was hard to fight others wanting to try it. On the other hand, it was so nice, you wanted to share with others just to brag about how much you selected the best dish of the house. Both dishes were beautifully cooked, both with amazing robust flavour, a generous amount of healthy veggies and a healthy serve of rice. For the Chilli fans – The Chilli Beef had a nice bite, “normal” will be enough for most – but if you are a chilli enthusiast (I like it Hot Hot) – order double chilli. Overall: The Single Lunch/Dinner menu is great value at $15 per person considering it has a great portion of both meat, veggies and rice. You don’t walk away hungry! The restaurant is small and quaint but needs to declutter to really boost the dinner an movie crowd for the weekend to make a little extra. And the customer service efficiency is a powerhouse – just needs a little love behind it to top it all. I would definitely recommend the food here to everyone to try! Well done Kong and TY!

Great polite service. I ordered take away for myself And the couple of friends that love Chinese Food. I called my order through, Veterian fried rice and 2 large soups, Wonton with Noodles and vegetables. The rice was nicely and clean, not over tasty that's a good thing die veterian fried rice, minimal stock and sale used. Really would have given it a five if it had been fried few more minutes to get that old fashioned fried flavour through it. As rice goes it was slandered. The Won Tom soups where so heaped up with wontons and vegetables and doodles. It made such a complete hardy meal. If you order this dish it will completely fill you up. I'm not sure how long this particular restaurant has been servicing take away food. My only other critique and I seriously hope they read this review. please put the soup broth unto a separate container from noodles ans veg. If you do ordered this dish remember to request separate containers for broth. Ours arrived together and we though all the yummy broth had fallen out some how or was missing. I always get my broth separate form other restaurant take aways. When the broth is mixed with the noodles and wontons before delivery toy you just end up with a bowl of soggy noodles, mushy vegetables and soft noodles. Other then that allows was Ok. It was delivered by Uber so it's had a five dollar delivery charge. The dois arrived nice and hot. I will give it a second chance and request my order to be finished as I like and expect it to be. It is slightly expensive although I should not have ordered so much 😂. I had Chinese for days.
